what we do:

after working in the built environment for several years, Avenir Studio was founded with the intention of bringing our own vision to life. the common thread running through each design is light. we care about unique, polarizing design with a strong focus on lighting and materials. well being for the user plays a major role in this, every design is designed for the user and therefore the human experience is central.

our perspective:

'the refinement in simplicity' is how we approach every project. we aim to create subtle complexities in to an overall 'simple' but harmonious design. in every instance, no matter the project, if it's an architectural interior or a lighting design, we explore multiple possibilities and ensure that the design will be a perfect fit for the user. 

light:

we think that life is the basis for every project. without light there is no form, color or texture. light plays a key role in how we perceive spaces and objects, but also on a biological level how we feel. lighting design is where art and science meet. it's a collaboration between reason and emotion.

our services:

we are specialized in architectural services such as architectural visualizations, architectural lighting design and architectural (interior) design.

awards:

_ 2021 // finalist in the competition by 'project unbuilt' called "a building's essense". the assigment was to visualize a pre-selected existing building, which in this case was the faculty of architecture in sao paulo, brasil.

_ 2020 // 2nd (runner up) at the 'integrated systems europe / ise' tradefair for the 'stand design awards 2020'. the awards were hosted by exhibitor magazine, you can read more about it here.

_ 2014 // winner for the architectural masterplan made for 'the new amstelkwartier' in the city of amsterdam by the municipality of amsterdam and the university of applied sciences in amsterdam.
